Correct.

He made seven appearances for us in total and a whole lot more for some club on the other side of the Pennines.

Next up, a player who had a great chant about him at a game. For all the wrong reasons though...

Nope. I think he'd made well in excess of 20 appearances before his cruciate knee ligament injury in the home game with Bradford at the end of the 2004-05 season which all but ended his career.

Correct.

I think he turned into a semi-prolific goalscorer and helped Hamilton Accies get promotion. I'm not sure what that says about the standard of Scottish football though.

A bonus point if anyone can name the game where there was the infamous 'Offy Offy Offy, OFF, OFF, OFF' chant.

Not sure I'd call Liam Wakefield "what might have been" - he wasn't any good and I never envisaged him having a future with us.

Correct.

With Liam Wakefield, I thought he was capable of making it as a footballer. I never saw it being with us either, but I did at least expect him to go on and carve out a good non-league/lower league career.

That possibility has seemingly evaporated now as well.

Anyway, next up - another former loanee who was half-decent...
