Coppinger and Houghton appearances
« on January 21, 2018, 11:30:24 am by Dutch Uncle »
Twitter yesterday said it was Copps' 500th start in EFL. I can now confirm this is true, covering all League starts over all his clubs - Newcastle, Hartlepool, Exeter (excluding a season in the Conference), Forest (on loan) and us. He has 570 league appearances of which 70 were as sub.

Jordan Houghton has now played 54 league games for us and has equalled Rovers record for league appearances as a loan player currently held by Jonathan Forte.

I'm to blame for that one Dutch. I noticed it and alerted the media team.

Great Stat TRB

I was surprised someone at the club knew a stat like that involving other clubs - should have known it was you.

Jonathan Forte. Now there's a real fraud.

Laziest performance ever in the away game at Bournemouth in 2007.

I'd have subbed him off and brought nobody else on just to make a point to him, that showing no effort won't be accepted.

He was also at fault for their first goal as well.

In one of Forte’s first games for us, as a 19 year old, he scored one of the finest goals I’ve ever seen from a Rovers player.

Swindon at home. Long ball played up to him on the halfway line with the centre half up his arse. He turned the defender and muscled him off as he tried to haul him down. Then out-sprinted the covering Defence to the edge of the box, from where he hammered an unstoppable shot past the keeper.

Truly breathtaking. I was convinced he was an international player in the making. But I never saw that ability again from him.

Remember it well. A night game and he did all the hard work. Picked the ball up round about midway close to the Popside, then it was a case of see you later, run, then finish.

I agree.... never was it replicated!

Even Main was capable of the sublime on very rare occasions. Another fraud.

We have a long and proud history of strikers who never show us consistently what they are capable of.
