Best Full English in Donny?
« on February 09, 2018, 10:21:53 am by wesisback »
This was a fairly easy question at one point, the answer was Park View Cafe on Bennetthorpe which had the right level of dingy, greasiness mixed up with the ability to knock out an immaculate fry up. I'd get taken as a child before a Rovers away day on a Saturday.
However the one thing I'm sure of is that some of you know your way round a fry up.
So I'm after some recommendations on where to get an amazing breakfast (Eggs Benedict, Porridge and Overnight oats need not apply)?

Croziers in Armthorpe. Quality sausages and bacon. Best place I've been for breakfast.

I’m not claiming it’s the best, but I bloody love a Wetherspoons breakfast.

Can’t wait for Rotherham away for one.

Jimmy Piggs has just won Cafe of the Year in the Trax FM area - voted by its listeners - so that must be in with a shout ?

Trip Advisor has it #1 of 21 Cafes in the area

I had a nosey as I walked past the and couldn't see one advertised. I might call in next week and see if they do or not.

Give over John! Sandall Park breakfasts are cheap and nasty. The sausages must cost them a quid for 20.
Wetherspoons ain't much better.

A shout for Cafe Med in the Corn Exchange.  They don't market it as full English as council rules don't want them competing with the numerous traditional cafes in there.  But everything they put on your plate comes from the various market traders and the sausage is from Wilkinson's Butchers.
Top notch!

We've had very mixed reviews on Sandall Park. It's been years since I've been so its high on the list.

I went to try Cafè Med the other week and there was nobody on the concession on Market day. I'd heard they only use Market Produce so they were probably getting ingredients. It looks miles better than the other cafes in there, who by and large serve shite, one of them didn't have black pudding despite residing in a place brimming with the stuff.
Wilkinsons Black Pepper sausage is my go to when I'm knocking a brekkie up at home.

The two tea rooms in Arksey are well worth a visit for cooked breakfasts, cakes, decent tea/coffee. Arksey village Tea Pot and the Old School rooms.
Askern Boating lake cafe does great snap too.

We've done the Village Tea Pot and was impressed, I've heard the School rooms is even better so looking forward to giving it a whirl.

Yeah, it’s cholesterol. Scottish people eat it. Few of them make 60.

Did you use the sausage as a breakwater to separate the beans and the egg?

I might want to mix them, but I want that to be my decision.
