Rovrum fans on Radio DeeDar
« on February 12, 2018, 10:14:47 pm by Donnyjim »
They were getting a bit lezzed up tonight by all accounts. Saying we are not even rivals and that we are going to get cuffed.

That Mick the Millar guy sounds like he was born and stills lives in a coal seam.

To be fair a more measured Miller said that they have to be a bit careful what they are saying. What goes around etc.

Once Tony Stewart's cash has run out and he leaves, they'll be back to where they were.

I would love it if we beat them. LOVE It! Sadly I can't see it.

You know a club's fans really don't like you when they go out of their way to say how much they don't care about you.

Apparently we are an insignificant club in a small town in South Yorkshire and their is no rivalry with us from their side of the fence. They are going to smash us to pieces, probably 5-0
Well we shall see won’t we. There may well be a few Rotherham fans who are going to look very stupid indeed come the final whistle on 24th Feb.

Rotherham calling Donny a small town. Haha. Small village in Sheffield. Their town centre is still like something from the 80s

Apparently according to one we are
" A bus stop near Rovrum".
Were no better than Maltby Main.
Richard one of the regular callers put Lee firmly in his place.

Am I missing something massive? They used all 13 fingers to snatch a last second draw at our place and we’ve only lost 1 game more than they have all season? Personally hoping they keep avoiding defeat so that the run can end with us on the 24th. They are a nothing club from a nothing Town, we’ve got absolutely no reason to go there thinking they’ve already won. Horrible swamp dwelling reprobates.

Hate to say it but I lived there for a few years and my lad was born there, but is Herringthorpe really classed as Rotherham?

I can't believe that some of are fans are surprised when Rotherhan,Barnsley fans etc. respond to our insults and jibes at their clubs with similar in response. They have just as many or more idiots that go OTT as we do. Some people have very thin skins.
I trained over in Rotherham briefly in 1966. Bob Earnshaw a P.E. teacher there played for Barnsley.

Cheating Bob as he was less than affectionately known, by the lads at Aston Comp in the early 80's following a fractious cup semi.  He was worth at least two goals start for Kimberworth when he reffed I'm sure he died a few years ago.

As someone who grew up in Rotherham this is the game that matters more than any. Oh and regarding Herringthorpe- , Raven, you couldn't get more Rotherham than there.

I've heard Rotherham claims to have the best master bakers in the country. The residents are all very much into bread.

What is the first thing that comes into the mind of anyone outside of South Yorkshire when you mention the word Rotherham?
Enough said...

Last gasp equaliser in league and totally battered in the Cup match, they’ve got the memory of a Goldfish.

Cup match?

We don’t matter that much that they sold out the away end to the tune of roughly 4000 seats and celebrated like winning a cup final when the equaliser went in?

Any thoughts this morning on whether they might get four or five.

If we play team and formation as last night it will be 6 or 7
I feel really sad that I am even thinking something like that is possible against Rotherham.
I am going out for a walk to clear my head. Did I really just say that.
Crikey that must have been bad last night. 6 or 7 against that lot.
I don’t think I have been as down about Rovers as I am today since that horror show at Crewe which confirmed our relegation in 2016

He's a delusional lad called Lee.
At the start of the season he wanted their physio sacking as he wasn't up to it. Now he won't admit he's wrong but he says he's eating humble pie.
Bring the game on.

Bugger I’d had a few and totally mixed them up with that other set of bell ends at Scunny.

Population of Doncaster MBC is 305,000. Rotherham 255,000. That makes us a village near Maltby does it?
Rotherham is just a satellite town on the outskirts of Sheffield and will never have any great significance, Logistically, Culturally or with regard to Sport.
Doncaster is aparrently the only Town or City in the country except London ( Broncos ) that has an Airport, a Main line station, a Football league club, a Rugby league club, and a Professional Rugby Union Club. That’s how insignificant we are as a town.
Eat your heart out Rotherham. Enjoy your Football team’s minutes in the sun but I assure you it will be clouding over very soon.

I work there I would say the majority of football fans in Rotherham are Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield United football fans.
The very small majority of Rotherham fans are getting way above their station, they arethinking that because if having Tony Stewart. As we all know with the great man himself John Ryan it was fantastic that our small club were taking on the likes of Leeds and beating them they were good times which I hope will come again but little Rotherham will slip and fall and I can't wait.
