Super6 - the big finish ? Sunday the 13th - GOOD LUCK - all !

Well this COULD be it. I expect that next Sunday will be the last Round but I am assuming that which is always "dangerous"

However in case it is I thought it would be wise to summarise where we are and what is at stake for those at the business end of the two Competitions

Overall Winner for the Signed Shirt - again a BIG THANK YOU - to the person who donated both the First and Second prizes and wished to do so " on the quiet" - is very very tight.

Gareth Law leads on 476 having led for as long as I can remember maybe since Round 20. He shared the lead just recently for one week with ...
Dave Garfitt who now has 472 - and so is just 4 behind having had I suppose it goes without saying a solid Season
Mike Turner lies third with 458 - again very very creditable - but realistically he will probably be resigned now to finish above other family Members just behind him !

The Tie breaker I stipulated in what I said was in the "unlikely" event of 2 or more people finishing level on Points at the end of the Season was that the person with the most Correct Results would prevail

At the moment that favours Gareth Law as he has 133 Correct Results at the moment - Dave Garfitt has 126 - and Mike T has 129.  So good luck all !



In the fight for the Second Prize (see Photo below) it stands like this :

It will be awarded to the person who did the best (scored most that is) in any Round during the 64 or so we have had - and if 1 or more people score the same the Tie Breaker will award the Prize to the Person with the highest overall score during the whole Season

Well the highest score scored in any week so far by any of the 90+ Competitiors is 21 Points and has been "done" 5 times

Week 22 saw Peter Thompson and Rob Williams get the so far "magical" high score
Week 44 saw Peter Brooks join them on the 21 mark
Week 59 saw Aiden Blades and Paul Johnson also score 21 Points

Of the 5 Paul Johnson is in pole position as he has currently 427 Points which is 10 Points more than Peter Thompson who hd led the Comp for 36 Rounds ! So there needs to be a 10 point swing there .... or .... and that is the beauty of this one somebody else to get 21 Points and have more Seasonal Points than the current Leader .... or ... someone to get 22 Points or more in this the last Round. So in this Competition it is still all to play for. Simply pick 4 correct scores and a correct result and that could be that

Early doors its 2-0 to Gareth Law making him 6 points in front (with better tie breaker too)

Both he and Dave Garfitt have 2 same predictions (Palace 2-1 and Chesea 0-2) so they will cancele each other out and the other 4 Games will swing it or seal it

Dave Garfitt 10 Gareth Law 4 - a 6 Point swing and DG now 2 Points ahead at the top BUT ... there is a long long way to go of course. More Goals will surely follow
DG has Man U to win 1-0 and LFC to win 2-0 so he has 10 Points there but if either or both score GL has 2-0 to Man U and 3-0 to LFC so he would benefit
Both have Swansea to win and neither can be correct scores - and both have Man City to win 0-3 sys GL and 1-2 says DG

Half an hour to go and realistically it looks like GL will prevail

Starting the day 4 Points up the only way DG can improve now is if Man City (on 0-0) suddenly get a spurt on and win 1-2.

He would still need a goal at Anfield to either side AND no more goals at Old Trafford. I reckon GL will be doing a virtual try on of the Shirt !

.....SO still advantage GL BUT overall his lead is down to 1 single point  for the whole Season and 8 minutes to go

Mission impossible though I feel as DG needs 1-2 at Saints and its 0-0 and no more goals at Old Trafford
