Stuart McCall

I see McCall is favourite to be the next manager of your club.

Guys you will be getting a good one if Donny and McCall agree terms.

His style of play was a joy and during his time at the club we were only outside the play offs twice at the start of the past two seasons. He has the best win rate at the club since all time best Roy McFarland in 1981. Last year we were unbeaten at home for the full campaign and as you know got to wembley. Our chairman let go important players after Wembley as McCall was just a coachand the budget was greatly reduced. However he managed to still keep us in the play offs right to the end. He had a horrible January that cost him his job but we had massive injurys and major off filed problems at that time. But our new owners thought better. Grayson could not cope with the hand McCall was given.

I am a big fan, of McCalls after all the good he has done at Valley Parade. I hope he is back in management soon. Obviously Im clarent and amber but would certainly wish you club well if he was your next manager.

Anyway here are city managers stats, http://valleyparade.co.uk/ and McCall individual stats http://valleyparade.co.uk/stuart-mccall-bradford-city-manager/

All the best.

PS that last game was absolutely honking.

I've stated already that I'd be happy with McCall, I think he's a good fit for us. I've always thought he was a good character and he clearly did a very good job at both Motherwell and Bradford. Plenty of experience and surely plenty of good contacts throughout England and Scotland.

We wanted him before we got Dickov but he opted for Motherwell.

I'd be happy with McCall. Always seems a good bloke and clearly a decent manager too. Top 6 finish would do us nicely.

There is one thing about Stuart McCall and that his honesty.
He wears his heart on his sleeve and has been well liked wherever he has been. Team spirit would probably improve under him and he likes to play football.

He was my favourite for the job before I read the write up. Now I'm getting excited. Liked the bit about him working under Gorden at Scotland, with his lad staying on, could be just what we need.

He'd be a very good appointment I think. Passion and I think a very decent manager.

Thanks Bantam in Peace. Nice to see other club supporters point of view.

For me it says everything when a clubs fan's speak highly of the manager after they leave. SOD is probably the last one of ours that would fit into that category (even then some didn't like him)

If McCall has applied i'd interview him before the end of application period and if he's realistic money wise and comes across well i'd get it sorted quick without any fussing about. Ideally him and Tisdale both apply which would give us a difficult choice.

I'm certain that he would prefer our situation to how he was treated by the City owners where he was managing a team that he loved.

If he can differentiate between a square peg and a round hole then he will do just fine for me.

8/11 relates to a 58%. That’s a bad price I think even though I backed McCall as soon as Fergie went.

He's got a lot better reputation than Dickov.

I am the only one that wouldn't take McCall?

Not a clue why just would rather so many more of the other names on the list.

I'd be very happy with McCall.
He got a bad deal at Bradford, they should never have sacked him, and the BCFC fans I spoke to shortly after his exit all felt the same.

It’s not going to happen . We want and need ambitious persons with a proven Championship record of achievement to apply .

Well that makes perfect sense. You don't want McCall but you don't know why?

Shouldn't we be looking for someone to get us out of this division first? IF that is want we really want!

Very much in the 'Dave Penney mould'?

For me if we can't get Grayson then McCall would be the best option but Grayson may have better offers or he won't have to wait long for one at the rate sackings go so he might not apply for the job anyway

Please name some of these managers who are good enough then?

Every time we are after a new manager some people come out and say no one being linked is good enough. Well who is? We can't exactly attract Zidane or Wenger can we?

Championship record of achievement?, that would mean at least getting into the Championship play-offs; who the f*ck with that kind of record would apply to join us?
