One tip for you Welling. Guernsey closes on a Sunday.

Not anymore. Sunday trading laws have been relaxed so alot of shops open. Especially if there is a cruise ship in or its seafront Sunday.

So,

No seafront sunday but still plenty to do. Don't plan too much for the Monday - two cruise ships in adding 6000 additional people to the streets and attractions.
In St Peter Port check out The Ship and Crown. Just had a refit but was also the Nazi HQ during the occupation. On that, if you get chance the coastline is scattered with bunkers and underground structures left by ze Germans. The 91 or 92 will take you all around the island for a quid.
Back to the pubs - most are bang average but i like The Thomas De La Rue or The White Hart.

For food - De Nello's is by far the best and second is Mora. Both serve a massive range of food and locally sourced meals.
There is an indian in town called Taj which is amazing.
If you have time jump on the boat to Herm or Sark they are an escape!
Don't forget to try local brews....

Let me know if you fancy a pint!

All of the Liberation brewery ales are good especially the Herm Island Gold.

Liberation IPA, Herm Island Gold and Patois are good local brews although they have adopted a dutch beer called Breda which they class as local

Hi Guernsey
Had a great time thanks, very relaxing,
There was a lot more traffic around than I expected, and I had no mobile connection !!
Got back to hotel just before end of match. Longest minutes of my life til final whistle.
Had a few good beers during the day, but stayed mainly at the hotel in evenings as the walk up to it was a bit strenuous.
Thanks for the tips.
hope to visit again.
