Last years opinions, do they count ?
« on August 11, 2018, 12:27:32 pm by sha66y »
Reading the threads has thrown up one main issue ...
Everyone has an opinion of a player, based upon what they have seen over the last couple of seasons..

We are under new management, and GM has been quite transparent about what he wants and expects!

so the players being lambasted for whatever reason should be given a clean break from preconceived expectations...

Try to look at the team as a whole, and imagine being able to tap into every players undoubted ability and strength, ....

they become a different set of players with a different ideology..

SOD did this and made TLOD a team less ridiculed....it appears to me at least that GM has a similar idea, and BELIEVES this set of warriors is capable of delivering this style of play....

So !
whatever you saw in a certain player last season may be very different this season

Good post.
No question in my mind DF did not get the best out of what was at his disposal.
Played with far too much fear.
I think this guy will be different and tell them to go out and express themselves.
Right I am off to the match now and am confident of a good win and 3 more points in the bag.

I agree some of the poorer performances might improve under McCann but some were very good last season. Butler for example excelled in a 3 will he be as good as a 2. Marquis scored a lot of goals will he carry on and coppinger excelled in a deeper position will he do as well further forward.
That’s the job the manager needs to carry out
Improve the players that struggled and at the same time maintain the performances of our better players last season
