Sad news, but news is trickling through that Nidge Roe lost his life this morning.

Deepest sympathy to his family.

Judging by the comments so far sounds like he was pretty well known but can anyone fill us in for those of us who don’t know him?

Always sad to lose one of our own, RIP and condolences to his family.

Sad news indeed. I remember him playing with us sometimes as he lived near me in Armthorpe and was my mate's cousin. Was a good 'un. RIP.  :(

Shocked to hear this news. I played football with Nidge for a few years and always had a good chat with him at the Rovers matches. Great bloke and an amazing supporter of DRFC. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

just seen this on another page from someone who has visited hospital  , it is genuine , maybe theres some hope.

'Nidge is on life support, despite his wife been initially told that he had passed, now after reviewing results etc, Nidge is not clinically dead, there is some brain activity, his pupils are fixed and not responding to light, however he has coughed a few times and when they have pushed up his legs they have felt resistance.'

Awful news for all concerned , thoughts with him and his family

As requested by NickDRFC, who is Nidge Roe please, I don’t know either.
Obviously a fellow Rover but no one seems to want to answer the question raised by Nick.
