Outside Christmas decorations

We should start a contest on here to spot the first decorations that we see . Should be done on a sliding scale with points for proximity to your own house .

2 points for your area,town,village
5 points for your street
10 points for “over the road” ie can be seen fro your house
20 points for your neighbours

Anyone on here live in Thorne? there's one house that have them out ridiculously early every year (or did when I lived in the area) and if you're from Thorne you probably know exactly who it is.

Yes there are 2 I can think of but one has stopped doing it (moved away maybe)

The one down Church Balk may be an early bird but I am sure it was Nov 8th when I saw my first last year in Southfield Road !

My friend sadly gone this year, always left his Christmas decorations up until Easter and put them back up again in September. He lived on a corner house near a main junction in the village so his house was very visible, it was hilarious when we were in the pub to listen to the numerous comments ie Don't know who that silly bugger is down Chapel but he's still got up/put up his bloody Christmas decorations, which was his main reason for doing it
