Match day mascots?
« on November 07, 2018, 08:20:12 pm by adamtherover »
Do any one know the way to get this organised?  Is it a load of separate kids who have paid for the privilege, or junior teams who have been drawn out of a hat etc.. cheers..

Doesn't it give list of options and prices on the club website?
I'm sure that I've seen it in the hospitality packages or commercial options.

£125 for the experience. My son was mascot against Shrewsbury. It was a great experience for him. The players and staff were brilliant. No complaints from me

Maybe I'm old fashioned on this but it should be free to junior rovers under 12's old school I know but you should not have to pay we are a community club

Unfortunately in this day and age nothing is free. I was happy to pay for the experience for my son who’s first game was the Deeping friendly. He is now a DRFC supporter. He got a full kit. Met all the players in the changing room. Grant and the players were amazing. He loved the day. That to me is priceless

I thought some are still chosen randomly from junior supporters club. Just thought they had to have latest kit

In my days, To meet the players, you had to meet them in a pub and buy um a pint ... Joe Laidlaw springs to mind.

There's a 25 quid option, where you escort a player out and get a t shirt, that's a bit more palatable....

It is still free to Junior Rovers members. They are drawn at random I believe . My son was one this season. It was a fantastic experience for him.

I remember doing it around 1984/85 as a Junior Rover.

My daughter was a mascot last season for the charlton home match. We paid £50 which was for the full experience but there is a cheaper option. She got a stadium tour, meet all the players in the changing room and had photos with all them. We met the referee and his lines men in the refs office and we went to the press room and tv camara area. They even let her put a message on the big screen stating who was the mascots. She loved every minute of it.
