I had a dream
« on November 21, 2018, 08:56:08 am by Bentley Bullet »
On Monday night I had a dream that Rovers beat Chorley 9-0, and Alfie May scored 5 goals. Not far off the mark as it turned out! I mentioned this to a few people before kick-off and how they of little faith laughed. They'd have laughed even more if I'd told them the full story which involved Max and Paddy as their twin strikers.

I think we will draw 1-1 following a late Alfie May equaliser.

As Alfie says in his interview, he's been practicing his finishing in training and it looks like it's paying off.

He called it shape shooting I think but in any case he is shooting early which prevents keepers and defenders getting set. A striker who masters this art is a very dangerous animal and if we get enough balls to him in the right areas, his conversion rate will improve no end.

OK, we accept the opposition last night but you have to give him credit for the way he took those chances.

We should not be surprised if Alfie does indeed score on Saturday!

That's been his biggest problem in his time here. He always wants to take an extra touch and by then the chance is gone.

If he can keep up with his shooting early, he'll be alright.

That's true, but there's hardly anyone who he's been able to emulate doing so since his time with us.
