The temperature of the world has fluctuated since year dot.
I'm not convinced by global warming. I think a more pressing issue is population growth which is out of control. If there were less people it follows there would be less emmissions.
Also why is it so much fuss is made over vehicle emmissions but no-one ever mentions how much power it must take recharging mobile phones throughout the world.
To most people a car is essential whereas a phone is a toy.

It's a simplification to say that more people equals more emissions. We know that the wealthier emit more in terms of emissions than the poor. And the wealthier make up a very small percentage of the global population.

We've known since the Kyoto protocol that to even begin to address climate change you need to the two biggest emitters on board - China and USA. But the USA didn't sign up, and China was classified as a poor country at this time so didn't have binding targets. This has affected the geopolitics ever since.

I'm sure I read somewhere the other day that China is the largest producer of motor cars on Earth, most of which you would assume being for there massive internal market. It's all the cars in China and India with their massive growing middle class which are a growing problem.
