Ah, I should've known Axholme Lion would be a climate change denier...
The temperature of the world has fluctuated since year dot.I'm not convinced by global warming. I think a more pressing issue is population growth which is out of control. If there were less people it follows there would be less emmissions. Also why is it so much fuss is made over vehicle emmissions but no-one ever mentions how much power it must take recharging mobile phones throughout the world. To most people a car is essential whereas a phone is a toy.

The population growth rate is declining almost as fast as the absolute number of people is increasing. It's a simplification to say that more people equals more emissions. We know that the wealthier emit more in terms of emissions than the poor. And the wealthier make up a very small percentage of the global population. We've known since the Kyoto protocol that to even begin to address climate change you need to the two biggest emitters on board - China and USA. But the USA didn't sign up, and China was classified as a poor country at this time so didn't have binding targets. This has affected the geopolitics ever since.
