Raheem Sterling

Just been reading about the allegation of racist in yesterday's game.

Martin Samuel has a point when mentioning regarding abuse which is not only racist and is just in general. Which you see at every football game and at end of the day footballer's are only humans and should general abuse be tolerated?

....  from the 4th paragraph analyses it very well.

Martin Samuel is a good man. It is unfortunate that he writes for the rag that has done more than anything else in this country to whip up the bile that was pouring out of those fans' mouths.

But he's right. There's something very nasty at the core of male identity in this country when we think that sort of behaviour aimed at ANYONE is acceptable.

Abuse at football is always way over the top but the hypocrisy if he was racially abused is astounding. I suppose the guy didn't celebrate when Kante scored or Drogba was terrorising defences. He's there for all to see now and I wonder if he enjoys his notoriety?

No doubt that his buddies around him will be slapping him on the back though.

Anybody with an ounce of decency would be ashamed and apologise.
There probably isn't an ounce of that between the four of them though.

One of them phoned in TalkSport yesterday to apologise, although he wasn’t the one who allegedly used the racist comment.

Speaking of TalkSport. Anyone see/hear the Dave Kitson thing, basically saying people bring racism on themselves by uploading pictures of their expensive houses and cars to instagram? Jesus wept.

Yes, he’s a bellend isn’t he. People will always be jealous of people with plenty of money but racism is something different.

especially when Stirlings original   post showed the difference between the reporting of two players  of different ethnicity  buying houses for their mums  as soon as they could afford it

Talking of talksport - good on Tyrone Mings for pulling out of an interview with them.
