I was having a rare old time up to Half Time thinking I would have to give the Ref 3. My Seat buddies could NOT believe it - and as they walked off ay HT the Ref booked another of the cynical Team we were playing

However it came back to my usual Nil or 1 in the Second Half as the Ref hit "form". Got far too much wrong and let the Number 15 get away with Murder. He should have asked who is the Ref here and 15 would have said "me"

There were far too many Cards that were not given JUST because they would have been Second Yellows and I am getting p****d off with this. Number 4 on a Yellow already is left almost for dead by Mallik but then grabs his arm and just holds onto it for 10 yards. Holding is a Yellow is a Yellow is a Yellow UNLESS it would mean a Second Yellow = a RED

That was not the only one - but that and many more things (6 minutes added time ?) were enough

NIL and dont come back in a hurry (oops no Poll)

I'd give him a 3. He was picky and oddly lenient with the cards, but he got pretty much everything right. I wouldn't be too annoyed to see his name come up again, which, for refs at this level, is staggeringly rare.

I thought he was pretty good and got most things right. Where he fell down was in failing to deal with the shithousery from Oxford United. They remind me of Revie's Leeds- an excellent football team when they want to be, and absolute masters of the dark arts.

Nos. 4 and 15 were very lucky to last 90 minutes. However, referees seem to all err on the side of leniency these days.

Once or twice the ref did a double take on players who had committed card worthy fouls in the second half, then didn’t get the cards out.
Presumably because he had realised that he had already booked them and would have had to have sent them off.

Like a Sunday league ref for me. Stayed in the centre of the pitch getting in the way of play on at least 5 occasions. Kept having a word with players presumably so he could have a breather.

... and he is currently dishing out Red Cards every 6 games on average.

SO maybe the Assessor has pointed out that is too many so he made sure he did not get yet another one out. THAT can be the only reason he did not Book their Number 4 when Willks left him for dead on East Stand touchline and then held his arm for what seemed like 10 strides. In the context of the game (as he the Ref had been seeing it) THAT was a clear clear clear Yellow and a Second one but he ducked it even when Copps ran to point it out

He may have got some decisions right but my Zero was given for his mentality / cowardice call it what you will
