We have had plenty of players come to Rovers from Leeds over the years, including one we have now. We also had one of our most popular managers who was a Leeds United legend. Don’t remember any one complaining about us getting ex Leeds people coming to Doncaster. So what is the problem.

I think the biggest problem is the attitude of lots of Leeds supporters.

Yes I think your right hound. But it is a minority. Most Leeds fans are like all other clubs fans.
As is normal in society it is the ugly minority that is heard most, not unfortunately the sensible majority.

No doubting that.
They do seem to have more of the gobby type though than other clubs have.
Of all the clubs we have played over recent years, they seem to be the one who give us the least respect.

I guess I see it as a cancer eating away at our fan base. There are 72 teams in the football league, one I genuinely care about (and it not Leeds). We dont have threads about other teams all the time, just the one. It's Viking Chat, the 'other football related stuff' surely is there to cover wider issues that are relevant to Doncaster, say announcements by the FA, fixtures that might affect our progress, bans, perhaps actions taken by other clubs in our own division. This obsession with Leeds is boring at best, counter productive at worst. Do they have a thread running about our game last weekend on WACCOE? Of course not. Why should they? And why should we?

Its not even closeted at this point, seems to have a real problem with any form of criticism of Leeds.

Loads of our fans used to be Leeds fans or both.

There's a lot of tribalism involved which is fine but if any other club becomes a topic of interest on this forum it's not unusual for someone to post (insert club name of choice)  xxxxxxscum, which is a bit silly when you think about it, whoever they are they are just another football club with a fan base.

All I said was what a great game it was and a fantastic advert for the Championship.
I was not starting a thread about Leeds United. Everybody else seems to have done that with follow on posts.
It could have been any two teams playing. It just happened that Leeds was one of them in this match.
The obsession with Leeds is not mine, but it seems every time they are mentioned it creates a barrage of anti Leeds posts. Whose problem is that.

As I have said previously I have been to plenty of Leeds games, nothing wrong with supporting a couple of clubs, on another note it is quite common for overseas supporters to support their local club + one from English or other league.. I would have liked to watch that Leeds game, and as threads go it's up to the mods how the site is run. I am a member of an audio site with very strict protocols to maintain standards of information, if you can't verify what you say (apart from opinion) then it is wiped or you are warned about the rules. If the thread wanders off topic it is separated and a new thread is begun.

Good to see a Yorkshire team doing so well and with a good chance to play PL next season, go Leeds

A bunch of nonce lovers imho.
