..Rovers' players decide to have a pre-Christmas jolly up and the next two games put in lacklustre performances against two team who didn't look all that good. Coincidence?

Yes I expect so. Nearly every team in the country had a Christmas party for their players and rightly so.

Anyone remember the FA Cup mauling at Peterboro, early 80's? Half the squad had been spotted in a Donny nightclub until 2-3am and were the worse for wear. That is what I would call irresponsible, not a club party planned well before matches ....

Shouldn't be allowed, they are well paid professional athletes with a job to do.

Should be a wave of internal punishments coming.

Its not as long as that to when we played Boro and something had gone off

A Boro mate of mine bet on 1-4 to them £2 @ 80/1 and it was the SOD days when we kept the Ball. I laughed and said "you wont have the ball long enough to score 4" but then rumours came round about the trouble and some prominent Players were at the Bookies in West Stand

Needless to say the score was 1-4 and I have never lived it down
