Viking / Icelandic chant
« on February 08, 2019, 10:35:48 pm by Donnyjim »
For the Palace game surely? With the drummer and 12,000 Doncastrians, on the BBC it would be immense! Huh! HUH!

It might be because I am watching the Last Kingdom. HUH!  :clapping: HUH!

You'd be lucky to get 1200 doing it. Majority of our fans aren't arsed creating an atmosphere, just love whinging about the lack of one.

Not like you RJ to join in with them , you used to be so positive.

I don't whine about the lack of atmosphere, I try and take part. It just grinds you down after years of it then seeing the same people sat on their hands having the cheek to moan about it. It really isn't difficult even to just clap your hands. Half the time you get half way through a song and realise no one else is joining in and you wonder what the f**king point is.

The Groaner ,a non demonstrative species of  man ...a unique throwback to the Ice age ,found in a micro climate in the North of England spotted frequently in huddled groups  at the Keepmoat Doncaster .

The clap would make sense for us, we are Vikings after all.

The clap would be very appropriate for Doncaster.

Nothing wrong with short corners.
We have scored some very good goals as a result of them.

Not for me. And, you can dislike an idea for a chant without being anti-atmosphere, or always moaning etc.

I'm all for making noise and getting an atmosphere going, but it always annoys me when we just copy things that fans of other teams do. The Viking Clap is Iceland's thing, let them have it.

The Viking Clap actually came from Motherwell originally, the Icelandics nicked it off them.

However it has been renamed the Icelandic clap so best left with them.

Christ lads. Some originality.

What about everybody playing that Dive, Dive Dive ringtone every time Zaha dives.

Or everybody in the South Stand dropping their kecks and baring their arses every time there's a goalkicker at that end?

Isn’t Icelandic the language? Wouldn’t the people be Icelanders?

Leave the clap with them for me.
