It IS time to move on.

But.

Ferguson will (hopefully) in 100 years still be the manager who took us to the  worst run of form in our history outside Weaver and Bergara.

And SOD, no?

Nope. O'Driscoll never came close to 2 points from 14 games, or 4 from 17. That's a very special level of failure.

And also the same manager who got us our easiest promotion in 70 years and signed us probably our greatest ever striker

Promotion back to a position we should never have had to have left via him. Remember being at Colchester on good friday getting crushed by a team who hadn't won at home since October... and as for Hartlepool!!

That Good Friday game at Colchester was an absolute disgrace to professional sport let alone football. Totally risible in tactics, effort and application. One of worst performances outside of 97/98 I have ever seen.

You are right with “probably” as I would have him outside of King Alick, Billy Sharp (shy of 1 in 2 for us, all in second tier), Clarrie Jordan (top goal scorer in entire country) and of course our own record breaker, Tom Keetley.

He sits at top of next tier with Kitchen and O’Callaghan as goalscoring legends. He has a superb record but these are all in fourth and third tier.

Laurie Sheffield?

True, yes. He would also go in that tier with Marquis. Good point.

Right, I've read enough of that previous manager. Time to lock the thread I reckon.
