Let's lobby for Trevor Kettle. Should make it interesting.

Appointments will be announced later today, but at this stage of the competition it will be a Premier League referee.

VAR only being used at Premier League grounds.

Could be good or bad. He'll no doubt want to be the star of the show.

Always reminds me of Jasper Carrott.............. without the humour obviously.

When was the last time he refereed a game of ours? I feel like it did happen when we were in the Championship but it will have been some time ago.

He refereed us at the Keepmoat not that far back; probably 4 or 5 years ago, but I can't remember who against.

Come on Dutch or BST; dig us up some info.

So. 100% record when James Coppinger plays in Last 16 national cup ties at home, refereed by Mike Dean.

Pedant alert - Hartlepool wasn’t our first match that season, it was Millwall at home..

Thanks Billy, it was more recent than I realised; I knew I'd definitely seen him at the Keepmoat.

That match at Hartlepool he booked 11 players and sent off 1 Hartlepool player.  Don’t remember one bad foul in the match.
It was an terrible display of refereeing. He has improved since then and is now one of the best refs imo.
