Results are more important than good performances.

Our ball retention is shocking, another team would have battered us.
And as I said on another thread Tom Anderson was imence today and Miles the mom
I'd have Doyle over Marquis all day long, and Butterfield is still quality
Half time today, I heard someone say, "2 million for Marquis? If a club offered us two hundred quid, I'd drive him myself".This, about the best goalscorer we've had in the lower divisions since the 1960s. You do wonder what some folk expect.
Must be a WUM to talk shite like that about Johnny.
Not a great game but a good netter to Dearne Valley Rover before and after the game. A quick netter to the vicar at half time as well. Not a great game but 3 points in an important game.
It appears that anyone who offers an opinion about Marquis in the negative is either feeble minded or just plain stupid....Perhaps it’s just an opinion that differs from the norm, perhaps the author of such an opinion is flabbergasted by the continuous protectionism of an asset that appears to have become unproductive, yet was once very productive ....I am just pleased that we are grinding out results, irrespective of who scores....
