I still believe he'd have got us into the Premiership if he could have afforded to finance it. Just a pity he had ideas above his station.

Just a shame we got derailed by injuries in 2010/11.

I'm just glad he was around to get the club back on track.

Some fans are so ungrateful now, though. They have tunnel vision.

Some fans thought he had got above his station.
Reading between the lines though, could he have got enough points to get us promoted or would we have met our Waterloo.

His treatment by some fans is a complete miscarriage of justice.

I have tender feelings for him. He's not the bogie man.

JR always funnelled his energy into getting the best for the club.
He sometimes let off steam at the wrong times.

Of course he was responsible for signing that good winger, the flying scotsman.

What Watt kind of signal does this send to newcomers Newcomens ? A thread derailed again from its serious opening point.

He went off the rails a bit after he gave Melinda Messenger a new pair of Deltic Buffers.

He think that he showed in his cameo appearance for us that he had a good engine with a tender behind.

Remember him running around on the pitch at belle Vue, think if he'd trained a bit harder could have made the first team.

Now you've all made your points it turns out he wasn't such an old buffer after all where his ideas got a lot of traction and he worked well under pressure, especially in his time away from football where on the face of it he gave a lot of people a lift.

For those that rail against him, glad to see he's not got a one track mind and has chosen to funnel his energies onto another platform.

Ryan dragged the club back from obscurity and up the leagues. He was a true Rovers fan, but even his millions weren't enough to get us into the top flight. His intentions were good and it was a sad day when he left the club. He was a larger-than-life supporter of the club and brought passion to the board rather than just a sound business model.
That's my opinion anyway.
