Joe Wright and Ian Lawlor both back in full training.

Been too long out to be worth playing them by choice.

Good news in that I feel better having Lawlor on the bench than Jones, and any injury to a defender means Wright can step in to (at least) the squad), but think it’s too much of a risk to start either, even though I consider Wright to be our best centre half.

Wright undoubtedly is a very good player but right now I would go for Butler and Downing all day long as our CB's.

I’d be shocked if they play any part to be honest.

Why because Wright and Lawlor are fit to fully train are people comparing them to the incumbent players. I’m just glad they are fit and if required in an emergency maybe good to play.

Has to stick with Butler and Downing now. They were tremendous against Coventry. Anderson on the bench as he is also as good as Downing if not even better but you don’t break a partnership going into these two games unless you have to.
Butler for me is probably the first name on the team sheet, not because i think he is our best player but because of his experience and leadership. As far as I am concerned he is the captain and the real leader of this team on the pitch.

We (Charlton) might have to replace the crocked Vetokele with Parker.....that is seriously to your advantage.
