Matty wasn’t shown up at all today.
He had a solid game.
Obviously though some people have their “Curtis Main” player to shout at.

Downing was a liability in his normal position today so why would you want him at right back? Blair one of the few players to come away with praise I'd say, and he got a very important goal for us.

I didn't think either of them played well. But Downing made a lot of silly errors, unlike him.

Anyway, I'm not in for criticising players, just didn't feel Blair deserved stick on here. We're still in the tie and I'm sure everyone will do what they can to turn it around at the Valley.

We do need a right back for next season but Matty was not Torn anything today so you are wrong. The two players playing wide right and left did nothing today until Sadlier went off and Wilks went left. Matty is a better player going forward and we have missed that attribute since the Mason situation, but he is the best right back we have at the moment.

Butler wins most of his headed duels, is very strong and doesn’t get turned much.
He got the better of Taylor today in general and a Taylor is one of the best frontmen in the division.
He knows his weaknesses which is why he doesn’t try to carry the ball forward himself.
Nothing wrong with Anderson by the way, he is also good but in our system GM can only pick two of the available CB’s.

I’ll have to make an appointment with the opticians, because I thought Butler played well, got his head to most things, where as Downing probably had his worse game for us
