Wilks, right or left?

Where would you start wilks next game against charlton, down the right again where imo didnt have a good game, or down the left, where he started causing trouble for the charlton defence?

Down the right and ask him to play a bit narrower, let Blair do the overlap, giving a right footer to supply the cross from wide right, enabling the left footer to cut in from a narrower position and get an early shot away

I lost count the amount of times he threw his head back in frustration every time he wanted a long ball from one of our defenders and it just kept going side ways , when he way willing to run at their big number 23 . We didn’t try to keep him busy we just tried to play safe every time .

We don’t like that long ball game, it’s so League 2

He should swap wings in game from time to time. He always cuts in when he’s on the right and he’s had loads of success doing that. He got no joy today and should have swapped flanks earlier. When he’s on the left he can get down the outside at will and get a cross in. His real issue is how lazy and undisciplined he is when we don’t have the ball. Players just stroll past him at will and he hardly ever tracks back.

Opponents have inevitably got wise to him cutting in from the right. He's been devastating at times this season doing that, but they are doubling up on him.

I'd put him on the left on Friday and play him as a more conventional get-to-the-line wide man. He looked to have the measure of their right back for the 10 mins he played down that flank.

Sadlier's an issue. I've been a big fan of him but he was anonymous today. What about dropping him for Lewis and playing Blair wide right?

Speaking of Wilks, he was the last one to leave the pitch today, went over to the South stand to clap and put his fist in the air and give his appreciation to the fans, as potentially and probably was his last home game for us.

Would be great to see him back with us next season.
His contribution has been good this season and he is getting better.

Sadlier needs to be playing where we can get him on the ball making things happen, he did most of his best stuff in our own half tracking back and blocking crosses and taking up defensive positions and making his player turn back which is the problem. Going forward he got into some good positions in pockets of space centrally or sitting out wide but we could not find him, second half more than the first. Equally, you cannot ask a wide player to keep dropping back and covering like he did today and then have the energy to make high intensity runs at the opposition, its not physically possible, he needs to be able to mix it up.

I hope we get Sadlier off taking corners and free kicks.
He is just floating them into the box and they are meat and veg for the keeper or big centre backs.

Play 4-4-2 with Wilks up top let the midfielders get wide to pull the fullback out of position.
