Noticed earlier he’s been released from Blackburn would be pleased if we signed him up

I don’t mean to purposely bring them up again, but in that Peterborough video their chairman said they’d signed a centre back who’d won promotion from league one before. Hope it’s not downing!

Anderson is better than Downing for me. Struggle to see why he isn’t starting.

Nothing between the four of them (CB’s) really.
McCann has to pick two each week so I trust him to get it right.

I think Downing is better than Butler and Anderson. Him and Wright are by far the best two.

Not sure Downing would sign a contract there when he could play Championship football with us next season potentially

Good player and rate him but we cannot seriously carry four first team senior central defenders.

We cannot have Butler, Anderson, Downing and Wright on their wages in the squad together.

Depends what you mean by senior, but we do need 4 CBs suitable to be in the starting 11. Two to start, one on the bench and one for injury comer, how long has Wright been out.?

Brilliant, our fans complained for ages that we didn't have enough senior centre backs because we only had 3, now I'm reading that we can't carry 4!

We clearly can, or else we wouldn't have had the four of them on the books for the past 6 months. If we sign Downing, it means our core of centre backs is set for next season and we can worry about other positions. No brainer for me, get him signed Grant!

I agree about needing 4 good centre backs. In days gone by 3 would have been enough. If we have Butler, Wright, Anderson and Downing there is the bonus of them having played together and therefore further strengthening. With Andrew on the left, we only have to integrate the new right back - surely one of the top priorities.

Having that more familiar and solid back 4 is essential.
