Support last night

Quite possibly the best away support I've been part of with DRFC. Incredible last night. Great to be part of and fair play to the Charlton fans behind the goal at the other end. Ace when grounds are full and like last night

Yes well done to the fans last night. Behaved with dignity and restraint at the end under provocation from some Charlton fans. ( probably their 1st visit to the Valley since 2012. ) ;)

Immense. Agree with Padge, it may well have been the best.

How do we recreate it in the regular season? That’s exactly what we need!

They were idiots before the game some of them too.  But on the whole most behaved.  It was like retro shirt day aswell for them.

That's just it - we probably can't. We don't really travel in enough numbers and we don't seem to be vociferous enough at home.

But the support last night was amazing. Stuck with the lads all night long and really got behind them. And the scenes when Butler scored, Jesus. Then Marquis. Even when the boot in the stomach came in the form of their goal to level the tie, we still stuck with them. That's exactly how it should be. The boys certainly gave it a go last night, but so did we.

Proud to be there last night with 1300 other hardcore donny fans.
Proper support last night.
f**king utter shit hole dive of a place, and a Kitson to get to, but the 1300 pulled out the stops to get there.

Into the valley rode the 1300...

I'd be embarrassed to be a charlton fan, bunch of happy clappers that haven't been since curbishley was there.

Still buzzing, despite the result.

If we'd have got to Wembley that 1300 there last night could have took in 40k Sunderland fans. Day trippers could have gone up in third tier for me

It's weird, even though we got knocked out, that's one of those games where 20/30 years down the line I'll be waxing lyrical about it to my kids. Electric.

Gave myself a headache from belting out various lyrics last night.

Or was it the ale. Who knows.

Either way, great night.

Echo all of that. In the circumstances, given all the context around the game, I have that down as one of the best Rovers performances I have ever seen. Incredible to be part of it. So so proud. These occasions should galvanise all at the club. Can’t wait for next season already.

The Andy Butler chant after the goal could possibly be one of the longest/loudest I’ve heard supporting rovers and everyone joining in with the lefts and rights. Absolutely brilliant every single one of us last night, something to be very proud of

Blimey Dude that lads expectations need some management for those cold Tuesday nights in the Burton away end. What a game to be at though for his first! I reckon we're better with 1300 totally up for it fans than 2000+ and hundreds sitting on their hands and gobs tight shut.

I'm still struggling to get my voice back. Loudest away atmosphere I've been in following Rovers over the last 44 years. It was carnage when the second and third went in.So glad I was there!

I'm nearly 67 but was singing about Andy Butlers magic hat at the top of me voice.

Been struggling with the vocals since. That game will be up there with them all for an atmosphere alone. I dont think of it as losing on pens, I think of it as beating Charlton in their own back yard. Out playing them and out singing them in front of their "massive" support.

I was in the home end at Charlton and from where I was, you could only hear the away fans.

Credit where it’s due - the support was fantastic.

Why were you in the home end? We didn't sell out.

Got a ticket to get on their database ahead of Wembley (covering all eventualities) and it also means I should be able to get a ticket when they play Millwall/Gillingham next year, if I want to go.

Plan was to go to all three POFs but with Leeds cocking up, I’m not bothering with any now.

You win some, you lose some.

Next game for me will likely be Northern Scotland somewhere on 13th July.

There won't be many having a worse 13th of July than you then
