I’ve not missed the point, I’m just not seeing it the same way as you. Yes it’s unfair, gave them an advantage but it’s done and there’s bugger all can be done about it.

I’ve come to terms with it by some twisted form of logic regarding league positions. It’s helping me deal with it.

If you don’t like that, it’s fine

But if you don’t agree you must be missing the point!

Not at all pib. Now he's explained it, I understand. The first post wasn't clear.

What I've found strange is that their fans said we barely celebrated when we scored. Apparently there were no "scenes" in the away end, more just quiet applause when we scored.

Tbiufht our fans were fantastic.

They should have been stood where I was then.
They would have seen some proper celebrations.

End of the day, the police trump the FA.
It happened and pro footballers should play to the conditions.
No problem with it.
A pointless complaint won't achieve anything.

Piss poor descision and planning really. Very dissapointing and it’s hard not to feel agrieved.

It might well have made no difference to the end result but it could well have done. It just doesn’t seem fair overall.

Proud anyway. Time to move on.

Who is to say the copper in charge isn’t a charlton fan (they can be both!) just trying to get an advantage? BS decision to ensure charlton had an advantage which should be looked at because, as we know, football is a game of minute fractions and penalty shootouts are even more of a lottery. Absolutely scandalous and more would be made of it if we weren’t just TLO donny with perceived sour grapes.

If the choosing of ends was decided by the Charlton safety officer and the Met, then by defualt we should have had the choice to go first or second, we never, Charleton got both choices

Can we ever lose out on something without any conspiratorial shite rearing it’s head afterwards?

It’s annoying that the decision wasn’t made as it normally would be (coin toss) but I do hope this bone of contention doesn’t drag on for years like the Lewis Dunk thing.

Ironically three of our penalty takers said it was more nerve racking taking pens in front of their own fans.  The same three players said the large crowd phased them.

Police said a few objects were thrown at the away end.

Try this: When you ask a question there is only one defined answer.  Break an egg and you will reveal its yoke and white.  If you the keep breaking down the egg the defined answer becomes fragmented and lost.  You then have ever increasing fractals of the original answer which is commonly known as confusion and unhappiness.

The past is a reference to the future, not a torture rack.

Here is a list of things that you can focus on, hold grudges about and generally make yourself ill with.

A lucky thimble can only be lucky if you have sowing to do and you find one.

I make me lucky.

I assume the senior police officer on the night is a Charlton fan.

The Mat have unsavoury history with South Yorkshire, I’ll say no more

What do they care, we're not on their doorstep.

They cared when they were on our doorstep, about their overtime that is

The Mat look after their own doorstep...

Are you a lucky gardener, Gelan?

No, due to an enormous overgrown garden that is becoming tropical and dangerous.
