Peterborough
« on June 01, 2019, 11:20:37 am by mushRTID »
Seem to be going for it.

A couple of non league “gems” and Mark Beevers already signed, along with a very highly rated keeper from Exeter and a highly rated defender from Newport.

Now they have signed Mo Eisa from Bristol City for a seven figure fee.

We’ve seen/heard it all before with Peterborough I know...but they appear to be having a go again.

Beevers playing right wing, keeper left side of three at back, Eisa in goal. Nothing wrong with 12th place. Seen it all before pal!

Bristol City did well to get that much for a Championship flop. That doesn't mean he won't do well, they've got a decent team and when you splash the money the majority of the times you flip a coin it'll bring success.

One good season in League 2, then a grand total of 5 appearances in the Championship with zero goals. I am very glad we didn't have the budget Fergie wanted if he is blowing a million quid up the wall for a player with that record. Ridiculous.

It is a lot of money for a player not proven above league 2 level but think he missed most of last season injured

It’s ok though. He’ll get a reaction next game... All very well splashing the cash. Moulding then into a winning team is entirely different.

Honestly, i'm not even worried about Peterborough, they're going for boke, how often does that work out? Coupled with a shite manager is a receipe for disaster.

Are people forgetting Ferguson has won promotion from this league on more than one ocassion? I wouldn't write them off.

Fergie isn’t the free spirit now that he was at the outset of his management career - he stifles creativity & tries to manage via intimidation - a recipe for flop rather than promotion

I’ll give it to October until their gobby chairman is having a meltdown on Twitter, slagging the players off.

That long?

Well I’m going to put my neck on the line, I think they will be a big threat this season.

It'd be daft not to think that.

Every year they spend big,
Evans spent last summer let’s not forget.
We only just pipped them last season, they’ve done their business early though so let’s see what we do.
Should be some money available now All the out of contract players have left and also the loan wages now available.

Horrible nasty piece of work and I don't care what he or anyone else says, he has far too greater influence on, on pitch affairs and player selection. The fact that he openly posts every day on twitter is just plain wrong, he is a Chairman/owner of a EFL side and should be seen and not heard from. Don't even get me started about the online broadcasts he does, its all about him lol.

Should JR not have been seen or heard from?

He can do what he likes, their fans seem to like him.

Ferguson will be doing the same in the local media long before this.

JR?

Of course he can do as he likes but its interesting how 99.99% of English football club chairman choose to stay in the background though isn't it. I can assure you not all PUFC fans like the fact that he is so public though and having had a little to do with the man I stand by my opinion just as I am sure you will.

To be fair to Ferguson he has an eye for a good player, wether he can get the best out of them remains to be seen.

It’s difficult when you can see what a head case their Chairman is.
To appoint a manager twice and sack him twice and then appoint him a third time. Basket case.
A club being built on sustainability. Just watch them disintegrate when the two Americans who have invested in the club get fed up and go home.
We seriously don’t know how lucky we are to have our owners.
