He had a few years coaching the U16s and was instrumental in many of the lads making the transition to the U18s. An exceptional coach and player but above all a top bloke.

I think he is still coaching one of the age groups at the club, Under 14s or 15s.
As AR says he has the reputation of being an excellent coach.

He's done a lot of coaching around Doncaster/Bessacarr over the years. Coached me on and off when I was younger.

He was with the  u15s  at the end of last season, and is absolutely great with the lads, is intense, but makes it enjoyable for them, and they love it.
Perhaps it is something the club could do that would stoke some extra interest, and dedicate a report page of all the age group games photos of the age group coaches and a summary of the games they play.
The club are at the moment trying to improve their coverage of local leagues and talent, so there would be some local interest to follow with hopefully more lads from the area involved.
All the coaches and staff are great with the boys, and there is some good work being done by both the young players and the staff that goes unnoticed and deserves more publicity.

He’s a top bloke! When he was playing at Rovers he used to regularly be seen at Cantley Park on a Sunday morning watching games. I think he was quite pally with the Don Valley Sports team who had a cracking side in those days! He also used to tell some great stories about Billy Bremmner too!

It's great when a former player is still liked and respected after leaving us.
Especially after playing for local rivals.
