For me, Posh away on Boxing Day is perfect.. for folks from Doncaster it’s only an hour and a bit down the A1..

Looks like we'll need to make hay during October, November and early December, then Feb through to mid April as either side of those we have fixtures against who you would expect to be play off/promotion contenders.

It was the first home game for sure, and if I remember quite entertaining despite being 0-0..

It was the first game, two years ago. 0-0 but we battered them, Tomas Holy had a blinder in the Gills goal.

This will be Steve Evans' first game in charge for them.

I think the fixtures are good, particuarly for us over Christmas and Easter. On paper (I know, I know) a reasonable start for us to get some points on the board in August, but yes a tough run-in I expect.

On a personal note, annoyed that Bolton away is on a Tuesday as I really wanted to go, but I am hoping to tick off Tranmere and Shrewsbury at least this season and they've both fallen nicely. The prospect of our away games with Pompey and Sunderland being moved for the F.A. Cup 3rd/4th Rounds is a bit shit.

Oh, and Rotherham at home is on my birthday weekend. Joyous!

Not what I particularly wanted, just a lucky guess that's what it would be.

media outlets get the info well before 9am, EFL have strict rules about not releasing them before 9am, someone could end up in trouble

There was a networking breakfast event this morning for the clubs commercial sponsors. Could it be they got the fixtures there prior to public release.
