Don't know the first thing about him. Wiki says he's 5'7 so let's hope he can jump like a salmon. Always thought the forumla for league one was big buggers.
I'd rather not have to pay a fee but sometimes we have to if it's the right player. Whiteman has proven a sound investment so let's hope this lad too becomes a fans favourite.

Very happy with this one. He’s a good age, played most of last season and was only missing the last few games due to injury. He extended his contract by a year option to stay last week and the papers in Sunderland say it’s a bit of a shock as he was in talks for a two year deal with them this week.Nice to see us pay a transfer fee too, no idea how much guessing 100-200k?
The better news is that it in part exchange for all the Viking moaners ..now eff off to a big club .
Yes, I've read the Sunderland forum at times and there's a few fans that are still in denial.Similar to a few of our own fans who refuse to believe our club is run well and hope the regime fails at earliest opportunity.

Sunderland actively wanted rid. He will do a job for us though.
When was the last time we paid a fee for a player? Potentially a quality signing this, lots of experience in big L1 teams and shows a statement of intent.

Well the Sunderland Echo disagree with you Gaz:"James was a regular last season, making 34 appearances in all competitions. He missed the final two months of the campaign due to injury, however, making his last appearance in the Checkatrade Trophy final defeat to Portsmouth."Good signing for me, right age, experience, lets hope McCann and Bryne can improve him as they did with Andrew?
Grant has said RJ was out main target for left back.Does that mean we were trying to sign up Andrew got back up?Or did Grant find out RJ wanted to come and that’s the reason he pulled the plug on Andrew?
