Who'd be better off?

If Mccann went to Hull, and Adkins made the opposite move?

I'd be happy with that. Thoughts?

I'd go with that along with the £1m compo for GM.

I posted his name on a different thread but it would be a tough ask to get him here. He will easily be in a champ job by Christmas if he were to wait.

He'll be a suntan shop in Donny by July if we don't wait.

Adkins left Hull because the lack of money therefore why would he come to Rovers we don’t throw money at anything.

If he goes we need to make an appointment before they go to La Manga.
The biggest problems loans were coming because of GM, signings would have been coming because of GM. So if he goes we will be worst off.

I’m hoping we’re not in this situation as I’d like Grant to stay however, if we needed someone;

Always liked Adkins and always hoped we’d get him one day. I imagine he’s probably out of our league at the moment, but you never know.

No he didn’t leave because of money. He left because he was unhappy with the terms of the contract on offer.

His contract will have had money in it so that could have been the terms. He still would not come to Rovers and really with his record over the last few years do we want him.

Adkins left because of a differing view of how the club was to move forward

Money may have been in the contract but we’ll never know. Would we have him...jury’s out for me tbh

I would definitely take him. Three promotions out of this division, two with a club no bigger than Rovers. He has managed two clubs in the Premier League, how many managers have we ever had who have come here after managing in the top flight?

I think he's an astute, considered individual who has generally done a good job in management, must have some stellar contacts and by most accounts did a good job in difficult circumstances at Hull.

Of course, I'd much rather we just keep McCann!

NA left Hull for many / all of the reasons stated, but mostly I suspect the contract he was offered was not enough £. Especially after a surprisingly good season.
If GM does leave then NA would do for me (but could we afford him?).

The board should be making a statement in support of McCann before it gets too far .
