Some things just never c
« on June 20, 2019, 10:27:55 pm by since-1969 »
We loose a decent mangers in Fergie who  it’s been said left because he was ambitious and wanted to build a decent team and would want better finances to do this .He goes to Peterborough who are now splashing the cash.
So we get another manager McCann  who is prepared to work with what he’s been given and demonstrates that not only can  he do a good job ,but adds a few additions and hits the clubs target and makes an instant unpacked.
Naturally he get noticed and now his opportunity arrives and he could well take it , Why , because Hull will invest and allow him to build that strong team . This managerial merry go round is no different to players who want more money and play at a higher level. There are good managers and good Players  but DRFC will only ever be borrowing them because in the game of football ambitions are all about climbing up the Leagues and getting well paid for playing the game and these managers like players come and go . DRFC are just casualty’s and as such only  the metaphorical rug that gets trampled on every time a manager or player thinks it’s time to walk .

McCann may look at it as a challenge and a worthwhile risk which will help his standing as a manager. He's shown he can out perform one of his former managers and may want to try and do better than Adkins.

A manager with a better pedigree than McCann has just walked out on them.

Hull won’t invest. They’ve reduced their budget from last season.

The DRFC are too small to argue a case to keep anyone McCann or Marquis and any price we ask is just a price they could afford and we couldn’t turn it down .

That is one reason Adkins has gone cos the Allams won't spend money cos they the family want to sell the club. So GM would be silly to go there, but he will be blinded by higher wages and a higher division

One thing we’ve got to do if McCann leaves is forget about Darren F*****g Ferguson yes he got us promoted and brought some decent players in but Christ sakes it was awful to watch at times and it will all end in tears at Peterbough I’ll gladly bet anyone £100 charity bet for A cancer or leukaemia charity they don’t go up at the end of the season

McCann is not stupid. He will weigh up the pros and cons. He won't be blinded by anything!

Our board do not need the compensation, they would rather keep McCann I'm sure but if things work against us, it's only right the compensation should be paid.

There's more of a chance that it won't end in tears for DF. Why, in modern day football, money does buy you success!!

Not always it doesn’t.
