Tennis is my second sport after Football (granted I enjoy most sports to some degree) so that has my vote. Federer is the best sportsperson of all time in my opinion, and top tennis players are the peak of what an "athlete" is.

Cricket I find fairly dull to watch, but I take a passing interest in Yorkshire and England so have followed their progress at this World Cup. Great that they are in the Final and i hope they win.

F1 i loved when I was younger but it is dreadful now, extraordinarily tedious and I wouldn't bother watching any of it.

Cricket is shite, not a big fan of tennis but when it is a big match with top players it is entertaining. If werent on holiday it would be to watch Don's to see if Rangi has still got his magic.

Cricket all day long

As someone posted above our second sport with England in a World Cup Final on home turf v the Mens Wimbledon Final with 2 non Englishmen competing. They are superb athletes and will doubtless produce a great Final but for me ....

Cricket today and highlights of British Grand Prix afterwards

Cricket for me as i am a massive cricket fan. Giving up a day at Headingley supporting Yorkshire to watch the WC final.
A lot of the Yorkshire supporters yesterday said i was a traitor putting England before Yorkshire!!!  ;)
Somewhat astounded by that, after all this is a World Cup Final.
They don’t happen every week do they.

As for the tennis, normally i would be watching that as am a fan of that sport also.
Federer v Djokovic should be a brilliant match. Tennis players are fantastic athletes and for someone to call it p...s game is such a ridiculous thing to say.
Try playing for 4+ hrs on your own in 80 degrees heat at that level.
Footballers haven’t lived have they. There are 11 of them on a pitch.

Come on England your time has come. World Champions. We can do it today.  :clapping: :woohoo:

Federer vs djockavic. The greatest ever sportsman vs one of the greatest in possibly their last grand slam final at Wimbledon, centre Court.
It's gonna be special.

As far as calling cricket the 2nd sport. I bet if the country voted then it would be rugby.

Cricket is very niche due to it being so monotonously boring.

You might dislike cricket but to call it niche is plain daft. Look at the demand for tickets this World Cup, or the Ashes. Admittedly that’s top level but compare that to what I’d call a niche sport (like squash) and how tickets sell for that.

Rugby gets bigger crowds but I'd put that more down to the fact it lasts 80 minutes. T20 Yorkshire v Lancashire sells out within a few days months before the fixture. See how that 100 ball thing goes next year.

Speaking of boring. Formula 1 is good up until the first corner of the first lap. After that it's terrible.

Cricket is pointless, barely even a sport.

Tennis is just about the most physically and mentally tough sport there is.

Awful ‘sport’. Almost as bad as golf. Both absolutely soporific and ruin football coverage for months on end.

Football then cricket for summer months.

I think the Tour de France lads, triathletes and even rugby league players would laugh at that comment

I said just about.

I've played tennis at a very good level, and with your comment, it's pretty obvious you know nothing about the sport.

I played for my local tennis club and for the school team until I was about 14/15 so I know a bit about tennis. I didn’t mind playing it just fine it very boring to watch. Also I didn’t find playing tennis particularly physically demanding either
