On radio dee dah I am sure it was said that the club were hoping for signings hopefully before the weekend, I might add that it is not unusual, Kane being a surprise at Southend, also two players who had trained with us for a week before in secret playing in the first game at Accrington, Houghton and touch em up.

There are some funny folk.

The reason it happened so late I imagine is because we were holding out for a higher price. Club has indicated as much last few weeks via Free Press: ‘bids not near valuation’.

We cannot force other clubs to pay more. Either we sold for lower amount earlier and have folk complaining about losing him for buttons, or hold out for the fee we wanted.

That it came so late is not ideal but keep in mind that Rovers WON here! We got what we wanted in terms of fee seemingly.

That it came so late is not ideal but keep in mind that Rovers WON here! We got what we wanted in terms of fee seemingly.

I was allowing for  Baptiste and Ward, both good signings.

I think the fee will be undisclosed.

We are a well run club no chance of going down the road of so many, but no ambition.
