The season ended in glorious sunshine at Wembley and promotion back to the championship , they'd already won a cup final six weeks earlier at the very same stadium , as the old year ended they started the new one 7th in the championship .

The moral of the story .........

Things may seem bleak , hope all but dried up but anything is possible in reality .

I think the problem when using the half-filled glass analogy is people have a different interpretation of the size of the glass. The higher up the league we go we're gonna need a bigger glass to half-fill. The question now has to be if we're struggling to half-fill a league one sized glass, how on earth are we gonna half-fill a Championship sized glass?

You got a few blowing off steam but generally we stuck with the team , the results were horrific but they battled hard and because the team were young and giving their all you couldn't ask for anymore .

Around 12k turned up against Rochdale on boxing day when we were still in the relegation places , we won 6 - 1 and never looked back after that .

We had to win our final league game at champions Wigan to get in to the play offs , we battered them 4-1 .

That team in my opinion went from rock bottom to possibly the best team in the league in a matter of a few months .

Three or four decent lads in from the Marquis fee and you could end up with a better squad than last season .

Nothing to say that can't happen , nobody's played a single league game yet and nobody can say who will be the top six at the end of 46 games with any authority .

Darren Moore hasn't come to Rovers to scratch around in league one that I do know .

It was a great second half of the season that one for you guys wasn't it tyke? Brilliant!

To be fair, Rovers had their own like that too in their first championship season after the Wembley win over Leeds - relegation fodder up to chrimble then boom - second form team in the div behind the blunts in the second half of the season and playing amazing football to boot!

Second half of the season turnarounds can be  common - both sides of the equation - take the DF plummet from 7th to relegated in half a season too not too long back - very crazy!

It’s a tad different
As has been mentioned we had our own season similar to that in our first championship season, we knew we were playing well and we stuck with sod.
Having a very thin squad on the eve of a season starting is worrying that’s all, nobody is saying sack Moore it’s just a worry that almost everyone realises we need 4-5 quality players but we’ve needed them for weeks
