The days of jeeze 20 years ago plus (damn I'm old) when all rovers were known as was a selling club.

We had the odd spree here and there but it was very rare to bring players in for a fee. If anyone ever offered anything half decent for a player we'd snatch their hands off just to keep the club running.

I think we need to remember where we are now. Yes I think they waited too long to offer JM a new deal. It should have been as soon as the season had ended. But we are where we are and there is no point in keeping someone at the club who doesn't want to be there.

The fact they have said they have some deals in the pipeline for me means I hope they mean ward, baptiste plus at least 2 more. It'd be good to splash the cash on someone with proven pedigree already who's not over the hill but then that's every clubs wish.

Let's just keep our fingers crossed, keep our pants on and our dignity and trust that DM and the club will bring some exciting players in. If that happens and once they have bedded on we may start to enjoy the season again.
