The Donny Teams obviously did not use the Australian points based system - or have I confused that with a different thread / subject

How good are Japan?
Some electrifying play bamboozling the Jocks.

Their handling, offloads and movement were unbelievable first half. Shame the Scots forgot how to play for 35 minutes in the first half as if the game had been played like the second half for the entirety it would have been an incredible game!

I dont fully understand RU but that game was absorbing

I dont think I have seen such a handling performance by a Team before - and as TT says movement as well.

Looked like they were "Red and White shirted Barbarians" said the Commentator

One other thing - I dont think I have seen so few Penalties given in a game - so they must have been highly disciplined as well ? When I say that I mean Penalties given in a Game. As I say I am crap with the Rules but there seemed to be loads of stuff that looked dodgy when the ball was on the floor with Players picking the ball up or throwing the opposition Players out of the way - and lots diving in at the side that normally would BE a Penalty but I could (as is possible) just be plain wrong

It's at that stage where the none rugby fan like me will watch it Saturday just because it's England v Australia in a world cup quarter final.

I love to watch it but with traveling I haven't caught a match yet, has anyone tried the ITV Hub which says it will show all the matches?

They show ITV channels live on the app so if you get on there you'll have no trouble.

Will be watching England v Australia live in Rome tomorrow as RAI is showing the 1/4 finals live which is free to air, and if I can get further time off for good behaviour the NZ v Ireland game, I'm pushing it to see any Sunday games.

Australia were lamentable in their decision making and kicking.  England can't expect to be gifted so much possession next saturday, whoever we play.

Credit to the referee with the late Ausie try.  Asked TMO to check the last pass.  TMO said it was good as it wasn't sufficiently clear that it was forward.  Ref asked to see the VT and with only one viewing declined to spare the TMO's blushes, stating "clearly forward, I cannot award the try" and brought play back for the scrum.

That’s because it was forward, as I though in real time.  TMO should have seen it.  The TMO missed a leg lift by the Aussies towards the end of the first half..

Highlights for me were Farrell’s kicking - take the points when offered, and a prop forward running in from the 22 to score a try.

Agree, called it real time, a metre forward

Well done Wales a thrilling finish. Not sure I've seen a worse action by  Sébastien Vahaamahina to get himself sent off.

I was really surprised to see that - rugby can be aggressive with pushing and shoving and occasional punch ups - but that elbow was delivered with intent.  There is no way that would be kissed with so many replays..

Big second half coming up now, New Zealand surely can’t be as bad as they were in the first half

We will do it I am sure. The belief is there in this team.
16-7 next score is crucial.

NZ don’t have a particularly good record in sport against England this year

Unbelievable. It's made up for the disappointment of the Tranmere postponement.

Yes ... I was impressed massively so

Hope SA win because I would hate to lose to Wales though saying that it would add even more Kudos I suppose

I am not a rugby man (despite the efforts of Reg Clayton at Thorne Grammar back in the sixties) but I know a good performance when I see one.
England were superb and I don’t think it was a case of NZ being poor, it was more that England didn’t let them be good.
On the day, the best team won.
