Thought I recognised the name.  This is the guy Fergie suggested should be shot.  Hope he's improved.

Can't complain about him. He missed a couple of handballs, but that seems par for the course this season- refs don't seem to have caught up with the new interpretations. Certainly much better than the infamous "shot" game.

Better than previous games he’s officiated for us, seemed a little fussy and I thought the elbow on Whiteman was a straight red

I just remembered an incident from the match that I haven’t seen anyone mention yet.
This thread reminded me.
There was a big pen shout for us in the second half when May appeared to be shoved down from behind.
From the 100 yards away South Stand it looked a decent appeal.
Has anyone an opinion on it?

The ref seemed decent overall by the way.

Yep.  From the middle of the West Stand it looked a nailed on penalty to me, hands all over May!

There were also a couple of off-the-ball incidents that all the officials missed, (ignored?).

I had watched a couple of the Rugby games earlier and the difference in the quality of officials between that code and what we see week in and week out, (even at Premiership level), is astounding.  Chalk and cheese IMO!
