Taylor for me today, had a key influence on the result and was great with his direct play from wide. Whiteman a very close second, what a showing from him dominating the middle of the park today.

If anyone gets chance to listen to Taylor’s interview give it a listen even after today’s game (I personally thought was the best I’ve seen him play) he was still critical of himself saying he should have done better.

He says he should have scored more this season also this is the best team he has played in and with and the players are loving it

Nothing between Whiteman & Taylor really but gone for Taylor.
What a great signing, effects both end of the pitch, great work rate & a constant pain to the opposition.

Taylor for me. Ran his socks off today. Direct, energetic and even tracking back to make some crucial challenges, he was everywhere. Close second would have to be Sheaf, the way he is on the ball, passing with both feet. Someone said on the Sheaf topic, some of his passes look terrible, but he’s anticipating the players should be where they should.

One of the most difficult MOTM decisions, the whole team played well. I’ve gone for Whiteman but it could have been him, Taylor or Sheaf in my opinion

Tough one as it was a really good team performance. I thought Daniels and Whiteman were probably the best two though.

I like Sheaf, he is obviously a very very good player but people are right, that he does play some lazy passes and often in dangerous areas.
The one type of pass that lets him down the most is the one he plays with the outside of his right foot, too casual with them at times.
This isn’t a moan by the way, just an objective point of view.

I agree. I’m not defending every single bad pass he makes, however, some of them you can see what he was thinking when he plays it and the ball rolls out of play.

I just think he’s really composed in tight areas and looks class with some of the touches and turns he does

For me, Sheaf and Dieng should be signed as it doesn’t look like there is much of a future for them at their parent clubs and they’re two players we have a realistic chance of getting out of the loanees we currently have.

Well, it looks like we agree that he is a classy player and I did say that I like him.
I just think that he is a little too casual at times and, yes you can see what he is wanting to do.

I am delighted that he is with us.

If Taylor could improve the consistency of his final deliveries when crossing from out wide he would be a superb player.
