Why, what's the connection between Tom Watson and Harvey Proctor?

BB

There was an allegation that Tory MPs (including Harvey Proctor) were part of a paedophile ring.

Tom Watson was very aggressive in pushing that allegation.

It turned out to be false. The made-up stories of a fantasist.

Watson went all in on it over the last decade and he's ended up both wrecking some lives and (less important) looking very stupid.

The Left of the Labour Party has hated Watson for other reasons for a long time. They saw him as the leader of the resistance against Corbyn.  So they are delighted that he's gone. There's not a great deal of sympathy for the lives Watson has f**ked up. More a feeling of celebration that a Corbyn critic has (quite rightly) got a major kicking and vanished from the scene.

I don't need to Sydney, you do that for me, don't you? It's just the misdemeanors on the Labour side that you fail to mention.

Wilts.

Yer man's gone. You won that fight. You don't need to stick your sword in the corpse.

And if you think Tom Watson is frightened of the left of the Labour party you are as arrogant as that post.

It is what I have said. Google it.

Wilts.
You misunderstood my post I think.

The Far Left have wanted shut of Watson for years (he was elected by precisely the same process and at the same time as Corbyn, but, different strokes, eh?)

I KNOW that story about why he has stepped down. It probably IS the reason. I agree that he should step down because what he's done over the child abuse allegations is disgraceful.

The point of my post was that the Left has got the outcome it wants. Even if by a different means. Watson is history.

Fair dos.

I haven't a Scooby why you thought I was implying that Watson was scared of the Left though. Or why you thought my post was arrogant.

It's hard to fall out when you never actually discuss anything BB.

Although YOU do seem to manage it on a regular basis.

That's the Johnson who is blaming Parliament for delaying Brexit when he was firstly very much in favour of membership of the EU, then campaigned against it, then supported May's deal. Then walked out of Cabinet because of it. Then voted against it. Twice. Then voted in favour of it. Then said it was anti-democratic. Then negotiated a deal that was 95% identical.

Tell you what. You REALLY know what he stands for when you cast your democratic vote for him don't you?

Oh aye. And it's the Johnson who was found to have broken the law by lying to the Queen about his intentions for stopping democratically elected MPs from doing their job.

And it's the Johnson who is still the subject of two police investigations. One for breaking electoral law in the 2016 Referendum. One for allegedly favouring his mistress with business deals when he was London Mayor.

And it's the Johnson who has refused to let the British people hear what the Security Services think of recent Russian interference in elections. While he heads a party bankrolled by Russians. Russians who had him as a guest at a bunga bunga party in Italy while MI6 had a meltdown about the security implications.

Good to see you supporting a true upholder of British democracy BB.

I wonder what your response would have been to Corbyn having a rap sheet like that?

Can you imagine, (imagine!) going to bed with a creep like that? Anyone who does must surely be expecting some very significant fringe benefits. Like grants and travel perks from Councils perhaps?

He stands for leaving the EU. What does Jezza stand for?        1-0 Boris.

Oh aye. And it's the Johnson who was found to have broken the law by lying to the Queen about his intentions for stopping democratically elected MPs from doing their job.

He didn't break the law!      2-0 Boris

And it's the Johnson who is still the subject of two police investigations. One for breaking electoral law in the 2016 Referendum. One for allegedly favouring his mistress with business deals when he was London Mayor.

VAR is still out on that     Still 2-0 Boris

And it's the Johnson who has refused to let the British people hear what the Security Services think of recent Russian interference in elections. While he heads a party bankrolled by Russians. Russians who had him as a guest at a bunga bunga party in Italy while MI6 had a meltdown about the security implications.

Security services wouldn't be secure if everybody was given the right to see it! Still 2-0 Boris

Good to see you supporting a true upholder of British democracy BB.

Cheers 3-0 Boris

I wonder what your response would have been to Corbyn having a rap sheet like that?

Nothing would stop me thinking Corbyn was a t**t.

Is that supposed to be intelligent or informed debate BB? You haven't offered a single fact. A single shred of evidence. A single reasn for someone to change their view. All it is is your emotions and your presonal prejudices.

BobG

PS Boris did break the law. After considering all the evidence the Supreme Court said he did. Did you miss that? BST 1 BB 0
