You probably won’t do, he’s been in Doncaster visiting flood areas, as important as remembrance day is, there are important issues of today to sort out

That's a pathetic criticism Sproty. You'd criticise him if he didn't visit SY to find out what had happened in the floods. You're criticising him because he HAS visited Conisbrough rather than go for the photo op that Johnson chose tonight.

He could have done both couldn't he?  It's no issue to me but opens him up to criticsm again.

I would have hoped the pm would attend this every year.

If HS2 had been up and running he might just have made it there on time. 🤭

I asked as I don’t know, does the leader of the opposition get an invite? I do know he’s attended other Remembrance  services for terrorist so just wondering if he’s attended one of these services for those that have died in war fighting for this country of ours

I didn't see him I just wondered if the leader of the opposition got an invite. And I do recall that it's a 96 minute train journey from Doncaster to London.

All 3 main party leaders were at the cenotaph today.  I didn’t watch but this has been reported on the bbc news website.

As for last night, I also didn’t watch so can’t comment.  However if this is something which the party leaders get invited to, then they should go or be officially represented by a suitable deputy.  That is acceptable in my opinion for the Albert hall  went, but not for the cenotaph unless the absence is for ill health..

Ah I see the Tory rags have picked up on Corbyns abscence....he loves to court controversy, some situations are easily avoided, he is a real lightweight when it comes to common sense!

Why should I have?  Why should Jeremy Corbyn have?  In fact, why should anyone have?  It isn't mandatory!

I didn't say you should have, in fact I simply asked a question, (twice), - as meaningless as the original post in this thread, just to prove a point.  Sadly, it seems to have been lost amongst the 'dislike' of Jeremy Corbyn!
