Just look at that graph.

The top 10% of earners used to take 27% of the income of the country in the 70s.

Now it's about 40%.

That's 13% increase for them. Which is about £250bn per year, concentrated in the hands of about 3.5million earners (there's about 30-35million workers in the country).

So, each one of them, on average, is earning £70k per year more than they would be doing if they still got the same proportion of national income they received in 1975.

If you spread that £250bn among the bottom 90%, we'd all be earning about £8k per year more than we are on average.

You want to see why we have social friction in this country? Why food banks have exploded. Why the NHS is falling apart.

Look at that graph. And ask yourself who is going to change it.

Two more lies from the liar in chief during tonight's debate.

From the BBC'S Reality Check.

The prime minister said he’s putting "the biggest ever cash boost into the NHS”.

But the average % increase (3.4%) is lower than that of Blair and Brown governments (6%).

Boris Johnson also said there were 5,000 more NHS doctors this year than last year.

The correct number is more like 3,000, according to NHS England stats.

His biggest lie was the one about the Tories having zero tolerance of Islamophobia and having dealt with all cases of racism in their party.

Unless of course he meant suspend for a couple of weeks and then let back in. Even there there are allegations/evidence over comments made by several people he personally appointed.

I wonder why the BBC didn't fact check that?

There are far too many examples to list but there is a great deal more reading here if you are interested.

If 80k is not rich where do these people sit in the grand scheme ...........

The £73 standard weekly allowance for universal credit, the government’s flagship benefit claimed by 2.3 million people, is now equivalent to 12.5% of median earnings. By contrast, when unemployment benefit was introduced in 1948 it was worth 20%. As a result, millions are being “excluded from mainstream society, with the basic goods and amenities needed to survive let alone thrive increasingly out of their grip”, the study by the IPPR thinktank said.

That's a key word Sydney UNEMPLOYMENT Benefit a short term allowance to tide you over from one Job to another, NOT a free meal , drink Drugs and 72 inch plasma screen TV way of life!

You should stop using the Sun as an arse wipe sporty as the ink appears to be poisoning your mind. But having said that yes it should feed and support you while the government helps you get another job, but thats the problem ain't it there is not enough jobs, and many of the jobs don't pay 80k.

.... and probably a "goof" rather than a lie when promising each Flooded resident £5000 - when it has been widely reported as £500 per household and £2500 per business

In answer to the question as to why he had not released the Russia report Johnson said he had seen absolutely no evidence of any Russian interference in UK politics. He repeated this at least twice - absolutely no evidence.

At a press conference in 2017, when the Russian Foreign Minister said there was no evidence of Russian interference in the referendum, Johnson said you need to include the word 'successful'. Implying that there was evidence of interference but it was not successful.

One of those statements cannot be true.
