Hey, look a bit closer owd lad. I've always maintained that Corbyn's the greatest thing that's happened to politics......... From a Tory perspective, anyway.

As for Diane Abbott, she's.................she's...........well,...........she's............she's........Is that the phone?......must go.

Even if the BBC or any other news outlet for that matter is completely accurate with its reporting it is still often unfair. The same applies even right down to this forum. Stories of someone being portrayed only in a negative light and completely ignoring any positives they might have is unfair, as is only talking of positives in someone and ignoring the negatives.

Scrolls through BB's posts looking for positive comments about Jeremy Corbyn and Diane Abbott. I may be a while.

I think Jezza and Dianne are doing a great job...The Tories haven't even had to pay em out!

I don't particularly like either of them but they pale when compared to shambolic Boris. Both in lies and false facts.

The BBC is a national joke. It couldn't be more anti British, anti Brexit if it tried. It's run by a bunch of PC luvvies from Hampstead.

....And you base that on Ian Hislop and Paul Merton having a good sense of humour?

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, I see what you did there! You were joking, weren't you! I'm a bit slow tonight!

Dead right BB. Modern day left wing alternative comedians are about as funny as toothache. They should seriously look at some videos of people like Eric Morecambe, Eric Sykes, Tony Hancock, Tommy Cooper, and Ken Dodd. Then they'll be seeing comedy genius.

Wow, can see why you voted Brexit. Someone's living in the past, eh?

It will shortly become a criminal offence to have a sense of humour in the UK. It is being brainwashed out of the younger generation at school and certainly university.

Of course I'm living in the past. Things were better then than the sh*thole we live in now.

As regards Brexit, that's not in the past, it's the future. Get used to it.

Hopefully not as this "shithole" will only get worse after Brexit.

Wake up and smell the coffee. The problems the Tories not the EU.

A long time ago, but I was a Head of a Primary school during the Labour years, it was a good time for funding. We had money to start employing extra teachers and classroom assistants, our budget was healthy and we had building improvements too. Downside was Ofsted and Blunkets pay structures.

:):) Hounslow. I wasn't picking holes in Tony or his policy. Rather I was wondering why all that effort and all that money had so little impact.

Cheers :)

The BBC actively hiding the Dad of the London Bridge victim's criticsm of Boris Johnson is something to behold where of course if he had criticised Jeremy Corbyn it would have been headine news for 2 days at least.

Amazing levels of bias. So bad for our democracy.

The BBC has let us all down.

When the IFS was equally critical of Tory & Labour manifestos, the BBC cited the IFS criticism of Labour 10x more.

From video editing to Kuenssberg’s behaviour, the BBC are helping Johnson by a series of nudges.

I thought it was probably me but then I read this by Peter Oborne today:

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/dec/03/election-coverage-bbc-tories

Peter Oborne is the former chief political commentator of The Daily Telegraph. Proper old school Tory.

The Labour Party has complained to the BBC, claiming the broadcaster’s election coverage is “slanted and biased”.

The party listed frustrations over “anti-Labour framing” and “the decision to allow the Conservative leader to ‘pick and choose’ his BBC platform” in a statement revealing a letter has been sent to Tony Hall, the broadcaster’s director general.

The letter, signed by co-campaign coordinator Andrew Gwynne, claimed the broadcaster had “repeatedly shown bias in its reporting of the Labour Party and its leadership” and had failed in its “obligations to fairness and impartiality” during the 2019 general election campaign.

Utterly unbelievable today.

The Tories sent Matt Hancock to Leeds General today, about that kid being left laying on the floor.

He was heckled by Lab supporters on the way out.

Laura Kuenssberg tweeted that o e of the hecklers punched Hancock's adviser.

https://mobile.twitter.com/Squirrel69Red/status/1204080954689540097

Horrible thing to happen. Disgraceful behaviour by the Lab supporters.

Except...oh yeah. It never happened.

Her source for this?

Conservative HQ.

But it never happened.

The Tories lied about this, whispered it to that f**king useless excuse for a journalist, and she spewed out the lie to anyone following her.

This is simply unacceptable in an election campaign. And it's not the first time that she's just parrotted what Tory HQ want her to say.

The BBC behaviour in this election has been appalling. The story here should have been a big splash. "Tory HQ, deliberately lying to BBC over assault claim".

Instead, she tweets out the claim then quietly deletes it later when she realises she's been played.

The more I read those Tweets by Kuenssberg...

"Not entirely clear what happened, but since it's three days from the Election, I'll post a set of unsubstantiated (read: "lying") claims of what happened from Tory HQ".

Isn't this a sacking offence?

For the record, I've been arguing for the past 18 months with Corbynista friends that they were wrong in their criticisms of bias at the BBC.

I'm feeling a reight chump after this campaign.

Ldr.

Yes. But that requires
1) Ignoring the sensitivity of getting shit right, this close to an election campaign.

2) The track record of the BBC right through the campaign. I listened to R4 Today programme last Friday morning while getting ready for work. SIX times in 30 mins a presenter or reporter used the phrase "Get Brexit Done". Just parrotting the Tories' key campaign line. Four times in that period, they called the PM "Boris", not "Boris Johnson" or "Mr Johnson", which just plays Johnson's game for him. It's appallingly lazy at best. Partisan at worst.

Meanwhile. We were talking about whether certain news organs coukd be trusted.

THIS is that disgusting rag, The Express, 3 hours after it became clear that no-one was hit at the Leeds Hospital.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1214958/matt-hancock-adviser-punched-labour-activist-leeds-hospital/amp

And this is the Mail, which WAS headlining that there had been a punch thrown. They've corrected that at least, but are still running with the entirely unsubstantiated claim from Tory HQ that this was a rentamob deliberately sent by Labour

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7773113/amp/Labour-activist-PUNCHES-Matt-Hancocks-adviser-Leeds-hospital.html

At least one of the hecklers has said that he works 200 yards away and went of his own accord to heckle Hancock.

And this is how Kuenssberg finishes off the story.

https://mobile.twitter.com/bbclaurak/status/1204105643424206849

Not "The Tories lied to me and deliberately and cynically used me as a naive vehicle to distract attention away from the real story about the underfunding of the NHS".

No. It's "Labour says the Tories lied". So anyone with an anti-Labour lean will just discount it.

This is either horrifically bad journalism or it's deliberate bias. The effect of this, month on month, year on year is massive.

Said it months back, BST her biassed reporting on brexit was clear.  News organisations are supposed to report facts but instead the BBC have morphed into campaigners on whatever political agenda they like, lacing reporting of information with biassed opinion.
