BBC Neutral Thread
« on November 29, 2019, 08:22:05 pm by Bentley Bullet »
.....Or Bentley Bullet's Comedy Neutral thread. A bit like The Beebs HIGNFY and Mash Report, only not restricted to unchallenged Left-wing propaganda.

Seeing as it's my idea, I'll go first.

Labour has pledged to invest in Merseyside and create 100,000 jobs if they win the election.

The Conservatives now regard Liverpool as a safe seat.

A bloke who much maligns Jeremy Corbyn, a bloke who supports him, and a hypocrite walks into a pub.

The barman says " pint is it BST?"

Very good. A bit more practice and you'll be up to Chalky White levels of comedy brilliance.

Corbyn: "I'm going to try out some comedy while I'm on this train journey."

Abbot: "Stand up?"

Corbyn: "No! I'll sit on the floor."

BB, do you remember the Saatchi & Saatchi poster showing a long line of actors with the caption saying "Labour isn't working".
How many more then became unemployed under Thatcher?

Don't you remember the black and white poster featuring prominently, complaining about the number of unemployed under a Labour government?
I think that unemployment then something like trebled in the early eighties. I think that it was probably ythe inspiration for the one showing immigrants more recently.

Ah right. I see what you mean. Apologies idler, but with this being an attempt at a light hearted thread to escape from the serious stuff it threw me a bit.

Think this thread is incorrectly titled, the recent BBC Question time audience was laden with Labour Party plants such as Kate Ritter a bit part Corrie Actress and Labour Activist and Liam Shrivastiva a Comms officer for the Labour Party, who of course told the Harold Wilson lie which Corbyn later liked.

That's interesting Sproty.

Were there any activists from other parties you don't mention any?

Were these 'plants' invited to represent the Labour Party or did they just apply as members of the public?

Wilts I have no idea and why should I ? If my sources had spotted other plants they would have said, clearly the audience was vetted but not to a high standard.

Well you posted about it.

Clearly your sources dont include posts on this forum

https://www.drfc-vsc.co.uk/index.php?topic=275004.msg923752#msg923752

The audience was split with an even number of Tory and Labour supporters with a smaller number of SNP & Lib Dem. There were slightly more people who identified as Leavers than Remainers. The BBC were quite open about it at the time. It's easy to find.

That's the fantastic thing about this thread, Wilts, is unlike the BBC, it's totally neutral and open to ALL sides in equal numbers. I would prefer it to be a light-hearted thread to escape the serious stuff but I appreciate not all of us possess a sense of humour, something that is fast becoming generally accepted on this forum.

Thanks for pointing that out BB, apologies.

What did you find funny in Sproty's post that I replied to btw? Seeing how you only mention me?

This thread was intended for all us Rovers because being a 'Rover' means being smart, witty, intelligent and funny.

Unfortunately for you, Sydney means 'not very'.

Getting the thread back on track, what do you call a bloke who emigrated to the other side of the world and spends all his life on an internet forum from his old country preaching to those still living there what political side to vote for?

A Lostralian.

A British citizen, what's your claim to fame bb?

Is that the best you can come up with? Are you asking everyone on this board to prove their status, you've been called out for dog whistling a couple of times already bb

I'm a British citizen, but it's not my claim to fame!

Oh, and no, I'm not asking everyone on this board to prove their status, I just take their word for it. Your status is clear, without me asking you to prove it.

"I'm a socialist drinker!" The bartender chuckled and said, "Don't you mean social drinker?"

"No, I only drink when someone else is paying."

I didn't realize how cold it was in London today until I switched the telly on and saw Jeremy Corbyn with his hands in his own pockets.
