At the moment, if they have to play, it would be great if they score especially if we win the game..

It will be interesting on here if one of them scores a couple tonight
I’m pretty sure everyone would want them to score 5 in the game if they played! It’s just obvious they aren’t good enough unfortunately

Selby, are you suggesting they are good enough? If so, then you need to book an appointment at Specsavers!

Would say absolutely everything I need to know about the clubs ambition if these two were extended and that's that.

Thomas’s strike rate is superior to May’s, Thomas isn’t a cultured player but he gives you a physical presence, what really did May give us. Fleetwood spend money like nobody, is that what we want? Unsustainable

I'm struggling to understand that these two would be a sign of the clubs ambition, but Whiteman, Anderson, Dieng etc are aren't?

None of those 3 are strikers and 1 of them is a loan?

What you want to achieve, what you try to achieve, and what you actually achieve are different things..

Or what you want, what you try your best to get, and what you can actually compete for are different things.

It’s worrying if we don’t get players in through the door we are in a perfect position to kick on and get in the playoffs with the games in hand and the gap shortening .

You have to see the lack of strength in depth is blatant How is a big turnover of players probably in the summer going to be beneficial

Those three show good ambition that I expect to continue. Signing on these two would take it back to square one. There's no way you can justify signing on two Conference players (I actually think Bingham is Sunday League quality) during a transfer window and claim to have enough ambition to take us to the next level, just no way.

That wasn't the point being made. Where did the poster refer to strikers and the clubs ambition?

Well at least you appreciate that. But the point still is that we haven't signed these beyond their short contracts and yet some posters are apoplectic.

I'm so glad I'm not an owner of this club.

If I was an owner of this club I think I would pack it in, and not put up with all the crap that's written on here.

They’ll expect some criticism I’m sure, gavin isn’t daft he’ll know the quality of the squad compared to recent seasons isn’t the same.
And I’m sure he’ll be hoping Darren gets the signings in this window

I think they would take a pragmatic view..

Out of the several thousand regular attendees and those who don’t go to matches, how many of their are there on here, Twitter and Facebook who regularly criticise the club.? Dozens, maybe a hundred or so, but there will be a “silent majority” who may read such media but don’t post negativity.

Alan, I went to spec savers in November, and am quite happy with their product thank you.
As for Thomas I would be extending his contract.

What has Thomas done to suggest to you he’s good enough for league one?

I would keep him if we don’t sign a striker this January but I’m sure the club wouldn’t be so stupid... would they?

What do you mean ‘pack it in?’

You would leave the club you support in ruins because of a few posts on a forum?

I’m now reminded why I don’t look at this site anymore, just constant criticism to anyone who even questions the clubs transfer policy. It’s just exhausting.

The poster of the original comment has re-enforced what he meant. Where I was coming from was that the 2 players being referred to, are both ‘strikers’ and the players to which you refer are not. That’s all. I tend to agree with him - it sets us back.

Why are any new signings taking so long, when we’ve known what our main problem has been since the start of the season?

Talking to their agents could imply helping them to move on, couldn’t it.?

Oh my god I hope so.

They're awful. They should be paying us to play that's what Sunday league standard players have to do.

I totally get that, which is why I’m preserving judgement and not going wild over anything to do with it like others are. Like you said they’re our players till the end of Jan. Let’s hope we can find better.
