Dear Deidre
« on January 10, 2020, 04:37:28 am by SydneyRover »
Dear Deidre, I have been most admiring of the 'Royal Family' for as long as I can remember and my whole family have been too. I remember my gramps telling me about Edward and Wallis and the  scandal and how they thought it might lead to a republic, heaven forbid, almost as bad as their support for the nazis but we as a family stuck by them and we rode it out together.

The coronation of Elizabeth was the highlight of my childhood I still treasure the coin I was given, although we did have to sell it early last year to buy food. When Charles and Diana got married I thought my heart would never stop singing just like when Doncaster got promoted to the Championship in 2011. Then it all turned to shite and they both started shagging around and acted totally disreputably and as for Charles marrying again to that hussy Camilla I thought my life was over and then Diana died in a car crash and it was as if time stood still.

I still don't think I've fully recovered although Andrew soon brought me back to my senses, I fail to understand what he was thinking hanging around all those very attractive young girls and a convicted paedophile to boot. And now this Harry an Megan, thrown in the towel and off to live in Canada of all places. I've given over my life and country to this family and I beginning to think they've treated me very shabbily, Dear Deidre do you think me and my family have misplaced our trust in them?

It’s a career move for Megan, just like marry Harry, and no doubt the divorce in 4 or 5 years time will be . Before anyone says anything I am very much a Royalist and proud of the Royal family.

yes i wanted to get a bet on for divorce in five years but can't get on  :crying: . Timing is everything to be an "alleged" "bitch". Note the total "co-incidence"  announcement Thursday Evening "just in time for the papers".....   Now who's birthday was it the next day

..... of yes    Duchess of Cambridge  ........... shame it got "overshadowed" on the front pages of the papers

Strolling through the front pages of the papers shows what sells them and what they think the British public are interested in Idler. These organisations go to a great deal of expense and trouble to work out what will sell advertising.

I stopped buying a daily paper on a regular basis in the late 90s owing to their dumbed down content. I now buy one before I get on a plane and that's it.
I get the People on a Sunday for sport and a Sunday Express for the sport and crosswords. The daily news I access on the TV or Internet and look at what I am interested in without trawling through dross and adverts that litter the daily rags.

I think they are doing the right thing for them.  It appears Harry is worried the pressure of royal life and the nasty press would rip them and their marriage apart, and I’ve got to agree.  He isn’t third in line for the throne anymore, so what harm will it do since they want to continue some of their UK charitable work.  They also want to earn their own money to help keep them independent and not unfairly drain the public coffers.

Interestingly they chose not to give Archie a title at birth, so this is something they discussed previously and looks to have been in the works for awhile. I don’t think it’s fair to lay all the blame on Meghan, because Harry must see the benefit of living a normal life and chose this path as well.  She may well be a diva at times, but overall I think she is a nice person. I do hope they live in Canada though and not the US, but only as a tip of the hat to the Queen.

The Queen herself is very savvy and sees it’s probably in the best interest of the monarchy to work out an arrangement with them that keeps everyone happy.  In a way this may benefit William and Kate and their children who be the highlight of the family.

Any time I look at some news site, it’s been about this subject.  So it’s the press again who are stoking the flames of this story, so who can blame them.

The Queen did a good job and put family first.  Thomas Markle is another story now.  Too bad she can’t sort him out. So the bad press will continue on.

The palace is now looking for replacements but hasn't said whether they will be permanent signings or loans  :)

They have got to be the right ones, and the difficult part is getting them over the line, (ready to snort it) 😀😀
