I may be out of step here, but I think it's all down to perspective. It's only football.

I'm in to see my consultant urologist next week to find out the results of my PSA test.

Take time to enjoy what's around you, because you won't always be here.

Oh absolutely,

I'm having to reassess my contribution to the supporters movement at the moment because my health is currently causing issues. For the last couple of months I've been in and out of hospital for minor surgery and a whole series of tests to find out what's going on.

It certainly makes you think.

Good luck by the way!

Yes all the best SM and redwine.

Health is the most important thing and we should always remember to have a bit of perspective when discussing football.
It is not and never will be the be all and end all.

Yes fingers crossed for both of you, hope everythings okay.Personally I wouldn't blame you for taking a step back.Especially after all the abuse you get from certain people who haven't got a Scooby doo just how much work you actually do for the fans and the club.

People don't have to agree with you on everything Rovers,we've had our difference of opinion ourselves but there's no excuse for not been able to debate your points and resort to abuse..

On the game itself, again total over reaction from some.Coventry are a good side,Robins is further down the road in developing his side than DM is.At the end of the day it was a even game that we lost out on due to a good strike right in the corner.

I will say one thing though,it highlights my moans about too many loan players. It takes more than one season to develop some of the understanding that Coventry players had.

Redwine,
I had the  PSA test, everyone over 50 should have this test, followed by the biopsy and finished with a rebore of the prostate. I am pleased to say the results were good. I left out the fact I broke my ankle in the same period falling off a ladder!!! which involved a 4 day stay in hospital having it screwed back together. Having completed 30 years in the London FB I decided to keep it a secret from my old fireman that in fact I fell off a ladder.

My golfing mate was persistent in asking me about all the symptoms I had with the prostate so I advised him to go to the doctors and get the PSA test, he did and he was diagnosed with the dreaded cancer. He's doing well but I am sure he wouldn't be here now had we not talked.

Sorry to go on about this but another strange example. My brother had the PSA, biopsy at DRI and then diagnosed with cancer. He phones me up tells me the bad news, says that he is going on holiday and will sort things out when he gets back. Gets back off holiday and receives a call from Sheffield saying that in fact he hadn't got cancer, a roller coaster of news.

BOYS, IF YOU ARE 50 TAKE MY ADVISE, AS A MATTER OF ROUTINE, GO TO THE DOCTORS AND GET A PSA TEST.

Its not a perfect test but its the best available at the moment and just a simple blood test, not an arm full.

Best of luck Redwine and SM I know what you are going through, it keeps things in perspective............

The Club is in a lot better position now than it was for the first 15 years of my Rovers supporting life. I think the trouble is a lot of our fans jumped on the bandwagon when the club was relaunched by John Ryan and all they’ve known is success, so when we’re not rolling teams over they just moan, they have unrealistic expectations and quite a lot of them are not very knowledgeable about football, don’t realise there’s 2 teams on the pitch.
After the summer we had I thought we might struggle to stay up this season, so I’m more than happy with the position we’re in. Yesterday we got beat by the better team, get over it, that’s football! We’re not a championship club, we never will be, Doncaster is a town full of glory supporting w@nk£rs!

We're not a Championship club, we never will be? Without realising it, you've just made the most negative post on this thread.

Fine line between negative and realistic..... I also feel this team is nowhere near the Championship, ...a good top end league one team flirting with the play off group is all I see,  however I am open to being proven wrong over the next 3 seasons,
I have eyes , I see the limitations, and I see a good team doing well..........just not well enough yet!
