To be fair, even though there were a few strange decisions and gestures, he wasn’t too bad.
I’ve given him a three!

2 from me.  Thought he was still pretty inept but the majority of the things he got wrong were in our favour.   Would have been a 1but for his bit of comedy gold when he ran over to their bench !!

Not a hard game to referee, although Drysdale seems to be trying to develop a personality now, a la Mike Dean, with some of his strange gestures and mannerisms. I think he was going to book Cameron John in the first half but Southend took the free-kick quickly and he decided to run with it.

The best bit was the theatrical gesture at the Southend assistant. Everyone around me thought he'd been sent to the stand, and I had to explain the protocol that the referee shows a red card if dismissing someone from the technical area. His gesture was actually a final warning.
